Diamine Salamander

It is a wet animal. Writing with a somewhat dry Lamy Logo medium - still about the wettest Safari/Logo/Al-star in my possession - I can see the ink flowing after the tip along the written line on Rhodia 19.
Often the ink seems and feels thin and watery, and the shading can be very strong, distracting the reader from taking in the text at the first glance. But written dark, saturated and evenly it is a very pretty color and quite legible. The top scan appears slightly thinner on my Mac than the text I am comparing it to, otherwise the color is very accurate. Perhaps a very little more brown than real life.

On Rhodia dotPad the high upstrokes are very pale while the rest of the letters are pleasantly dark, but the contrast is annoying.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I like Sailor Epinard. When I saw it on ink dealer's sites I went for it.

A little darker than Epinard. Flow is fine as well.

Strangely, the salamander is much greener that the scans above that

appear much blacker.
