Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

The best ink for a demonstrator would be clear in the pen and only turn to color when it hits the paper.

Amberleadavis - Thanks for the link. My question regarding the inks in the picture was that I couldn't read all of them, and, given that they were inks that you had used and recommended in demonstrators, I was asking if you could just reply and list the inks so that we could tell what all of them were. Nice photo that you just posted today by the way!

JPR75 - That's awesome inky goodness! What pen is that?

MisterBoll - Great avatar photo!

OH, wait, let me clarify. I think any ink is great in a demonstrator ... with a few exceptions. I'll get to them later. I don't have typed list. I only write them. Hence, I referred you to the thread above. Or you can look at my website for bigger pictures or scans of the cards.

As for inks I would not use in a demonstrator:

Diamine Grape --- Here it was in October of 2012. Diamine Grape was inked in it and damage was starting.

This pen has never recovered: Here it is 2014. That Grape will never leave the pen.

Nostalgic Impressions Purple: (This pen has recovered, with a lot of work).

Is it some of your art?

Yes. At some point I am going to do a book with some of the images.

What's that fat pink pen in the middle? It's curiously eye-catching.

That's a stipula... we had some that were blue and were FPN exclusives. That one was a fund raiser for Breast Cancer.

I wasn't aware that there were FPN exclusive pens. That's pretty cool. Thanks!

Noodler's Navajo Turquoise in my TWSBI 580.

Same, twsbi mini. Great ink! I actually have a photo of the sun shining through it. Will have to post tomorrow.

Good News - both the Ahab and the TWSBI recovered.

I love Noodler's eel inks.

When I think "demonstrator", I think TWSBI Diamond 540. Ink cartridges are small, but the piston-fill TWSBI barrel is

big and bright. I like to use Noodler's Eel Blue, or Diamine Emerald. I like the way they look on paper. I love the way

they look with sunlight shining through the pen.

Let me show you a happy thing about eel inks.

I was testing KWZI #21 - and let me tell you that I LOVED the ink until it came to time to clean up.

http://sheismylawyer.com/She_Thinks_In_Ink/Inked_Today/slides/20140706_195944.jpg

I posted and asked about ways to clean and received some strange suggestions and some terrific ones. I remembered an off hand comment from Nathan about using red inks that were high in surfactants.

One round of Noodler's Rattler Red Eel.

And here it is after I've flushed the red. Keep in mind, I have not used an solvents or strange ink removers before or after the Red Eel ink.
