Reviewing your first pen. Awesome. Many more to follow, I'm sure.

The charcoal with the black nib is color/finish combo I like best in the Safari. I am not sure what your problem might have been with the Lamy Cartridge...I've had problems with a few. But I love Lamy Black ink. I have a bottle and use a converter and in my opinion it's an under appreciated ink.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the other Safari colors. Too vibrant for my taste. I think part of the problem could have been that my tines were too tight. Before I filled it with Edelstein, I cleaned in between the tines with a brass sheet, which may have helped improve ink flow.

I have the very same pen/nib combo and never had issues with cartridges, though I prefer the converter, too.

Agree 100% on the recommendation; it's a wonderful high quality pen at an affordable price.

Nobody should apologise for their handwriting - it's what makes them an individual. Great review.

Great review, thanks. I've got the Safari brights AND a stealth like this...and I really like the 'stealth' look.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.
