Onxy black is my main staple when it comes to black ink and water-resistance isn't required. I find it a tad darker in my experience, but my pens are generally uber-wet writers.

 

I have a bottle of Noodler's black which I keep a Lamy Vista inked with just for writing addresses on envelopes or whatever, but I think the Diamine Onyx has more depth.
