I finished on the 28th! Well, I hit 50 000. The novel still needs 5 to 10 000 more words, I just needed a bit of a break.

As expected, I'm nowhere near done. Even with an outline and a rough draft under my belt, I can't manage even a rewrite in a month. There are too many other things going on.

As expected, I didn't split the atom, or grow an extra head. And I certainly didn't finish the novel. In other news from the Realm of the Highly Improbable: no word yet on prospects for a future Nobel for literature. However, if they ever start handing them out for fan fiction, I think I'm definitely a contender.

I finished with 54,000 but part was something of a false start, and the book wouldn't be finished in 50,000 words anyway.

 

I did manage to get a fountain pen in, though. Or, rather, a space-holder for one - I will have to find out exactly what model this character would have gone for...
