Hello All,

Well, lets get the October/November Ann Arbor Pen Posse Meeting organised.

In order to help me and Tom organize this better, would you answer a few questions? They are as follows:

1) Would you prefer to meet on a Saturday or on a Sunday?

2) What time would you prefer to meet at? (Early afternoon, or late morning?)

3)Well, I figured that we would meet at Sweetwaters Cafe on Plymouth Rd. in Ann Arbor,

but, do you have any other suggestions for venues we could meet at?

I will take the info we get, and discuss it with Tom and Larry and a few others, and we will decide what the majority of us want, and then we will post the info here.

Thank you.

-Sid

I'm well into the busy time of year, so the chance of being able to attend is not good. Still, you never know...

1) Probably Sunday..., but Saturday is not much different

2) If Sunday, early afternoon. If Saturday, late morning

3) Sweetwaters works fine, and they have good coffee.

I'd like to attend and meet other local FP types. Saturday afternoons are best for me but the other times would work too. At this point a date in November is better for me; don't forget about avoiding home game dates. If you wanted an alternative to a coffee shop, Conor O'Neill's might be fun.

The weekends before and after Thanksgiving won't work for me. Otherwise I'm pretty good with Sat. or Sun. I don't mind going to the Whole Foods mentioned in the other thread (was it in Rochester?) or staying around A2. I agree about the home game dates in A2 unless we meet somewhere on the fringe of the city.

I'll be working most weekends through the end of the year, Sunday is probably better than Saturday, for me. Afternoon would be nice, but I'll try to make it whenever it is.

November 7-10 is when the Ohio Pen Show is. I'll be going there for a day but not sure which one. Anyone else going? Anyway, mentioned that since it might not be a good weekend for it. I'm free the weekend before that and the weekend after.

Jill and I are planning to be there on Sunday.

Scheduled event on the 17th..

But, have rare Saturday's off. 23rd, and 30th.

Does that work with any/everyone's schedule?

Know we're up against turkey feast times...

Btw, did check out the new Peets. Obligatory new business in town visit.*

Caribou's dark chocolate mocha beat them by miles. Sorry to realize my last fine cup with dark choco covered beans melting on top won't be enjoy ever again.

*nonpolitcal/nonmilitant, but spectre of parent company churning out anticoagulant rat/raptor/to raptor babies, Plus pets killer, an unpleasant death. (D-Con), sort of flavored my experience.

Back to pens, will either of the two Sats work?

So we are thinking the 17th?

Found another alternate meet site.

West of Oakland U, "Sweets" coffee/cafe Auburn & Squirrel.

Has plugs, lots of space, and they have already warmly invited us to come.

Fresh roasted coffee, possibly better than the Ily in town. (where there is no space).

Seem to be swinging by there frequently.

A2 (including Sweetwaters), remains a good possibility. Perhaps those on the east side may have suggestions to alternate?

Still have some restored Esties, a Carene, and maybe GF Solo's in box to rehome.

Sounds good to me, November was a hectic month. It would be nice to get together before Christmas.
