very neat; i actually started this about a year ago; I find that it is easier to write down a longer message on a pad and take a picture of it; i find that typing long messages on the iphone to be annoying especially with having to re-correct the autocorrect feature... It started with my grad student texting me a question that was not very straight forward to answer. I wrote the reply on paper, photographed it and replied, followed by another handwritten + photographed message:

"This is how gentlemen text!"

There are a few people who do this on FPN, notably GClef. If I had better photography/scanning equipment, I would do this myself.

I would do this if I knew which folks have MMS. Not all the folks I text have smartphones and usually those without can't receive images.

I suspect most all of the pic posts in the Show your handwriting, pens and ink thread are by phone. I think you could take and post a pretty decent one with even a flip dumb phone.

Of course, SchmattFones make it extra ordinarily easy peasy.

My phone does not take picture. It is only a phone (and FM radio)

Getting out the camera, setting up lights, and then processing in Photoshop has kept me from doing handwritten posts. I don't have a cell phone at all, let alone a smart one...

That has to be the most inefficient way ever devised by mankind to deliver a message.

Can a calculator understand a cash register?

I don't know, I think the ten commandments has it beat for inefficiency all that climbing mountains and stuff.

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of their skin their background or their religion. People must learn to hate and if they can learn to hate they can be taught to love for love comes more naturally to the human heart than it's opposite.

Why anyone would devise an inefficient way is beyond me. Kinda reminds me of this...

I have to admit I only even try to read the handwritten photos--as lovely as many of them are--for handwritten ink reviews. Something about on-screen display makes it hard on my eyes.

EDIT: I have no problem with handwritten letters from pen pals! It's just the on-screen version that flummoxes me.
