Don't Know If This Is The Right Forum, But... Turquoise

Hey guys:

I fell in love with Noodler's Navajo Turquoise when I bought a sample last year. I am finally ready for a new bottle of ink, so that is at the top of my list. But then I saw Noodler's American Eel Turquoise, and it looks extremely similar. I have a few pens that are quite dry writers, so I'm always on the lookout for inks that write wet. Can anyone suggest if I should get Eel Turquoise or Navajo Turquoise? Has anyone tried both?

Thanks for the help!

Noodler's Eel inks have more lubrication additives and are formulated to use in vintage pens. Many people like them and use them regularly. The swab doesn't show the slight difference between Navajo and American Eel. Maybe a sample of both would be a good investment?

Enjoy,

Yours,

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Diamine Asa Blue is a super saturated, intense turquoise blue. It is very good in nibs that write dry because it is both free flowing and so intense that a nib that lays down a dry line shows off the color. Much more intense and brilliant that Iroshizuki Ku-jaku, another, more subtle favorite.

They are similar in swabs but different in the pen. If you are on a budget and have a nice pen, buy the eel ink.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
