Sincerest apologies for the poor quality cellphone images, I still don't have a proper camera

This is, to my knowledge, the only one in the southern hemisphere so far.

I just opened it this afternoon. It is really an impressive piece. The nib, OB.

Section plastic film still on, I'll remove it shortly..

When I paged through the booklet, I noticed the signature of the Artisan who signed off on this one, as the same person who showed us around the Artisan Atelier during our factory tour last year. This makes it much more personal, having met the goldsmith who made this pen. Very special indeed. One happy camper here :D

Thank you so much for sharing this beauty!

What a special pen with so many details.

Think I can look for an hour at it and still find new details.

Hope you will enjoy it for years!

I rather like that one. Congrats on the purchase

In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter....

Beautiful, even the box is impressive! It would have made my day knowing I met the goldsmith who made my pen too!

Thank you for sharing Iit with us

An incredibly intricate piece of craftsmanship. Thanks for the pics, I have never seen or heard of this pen before your post.

This is probably a daft question but i will go ahead anyway!

Would this pen ever be in rotation as an every day carry? I am not knocking collectors ( I certainly fall partly into this category myself although not pens of this calibre), I am just curious/nosey!

Magnificent pen rockspyder :puddle: Many congratulations.

The original photograph that was previously circulated here clearly did not do this fabulous piece justice. Like KJY, I could spend hours just looking at the pen.

I can only imagine the size of your grin when you first opened that box lid........ :notworthy1: In fact, I bet you are still grinning

Wow, congrats on the new acquisition! How'd you manage to get number 0 of 88?

Motorcycle Momma! Great workmanship, but definitely a motorcycle carry. You even got it in my nib size. Surely it was meant for me? :P :lticaptd:

From the topic heading, I was expecting it to be a Khan Noonien Singh pen, geek that I am.

Not that it detracts from the pen at all. Really nice. I am wondering: Is the lattice-work--if that's what you'd call it--on the barrel of the pen meant to represent scale armor?

I would be happy with the box !! The skill of the makers/creators never ceases to amaze me.

I think the lightning flashes away the number 1.

So I think it is number 10/88.

Of course I will be happy to be noticed I am wrong by Rockspyder

You will have to sell some of your viscontis to buy his pen :P :lticaptd:

Well done rockspyder  :notworthy1: :puddle: Is this pen as big as a 149?

Thanks! I really have a big smile about this one.

Yes, it is 149-sized, like the other proper skeletons.

And yes, I plan to ink it, the nib is too fantastic not to try, it is a broader than usual OB, I think Ghost Plane would be perfectly happy here..

The filler end is olivewood.

0/88 would be the prototype, I wish! 10/88 is this one, you are correct, the light just makes the "1" difficult to see.

I have a number of 0/xxx prototypes from other brands, such as Visconti, Delta and Montegrappa (thanks Bry!) but I don't think there are many MB prototypes outside. I keep hunting though.. :-)

Valid question!

Not in regular rotation, but it is a special privilege to use them at times. It would be a travesty for these artworks to remain hidden in boxes.
