Parker 45 Cartridge Replacement Sac?

Greetings All FPN

I have a P45 made in Brazil. I was wondering if one could replace the sac in the cartridge?

The cartridge sac disaggregated into little parts, or just keep the old cartridge for show.

Thanks all who answer.

Ken

Take a look at this

So yes you could repair the converter, but I would just buy a new screw piston converter.

Because the parts and supplies you need to repair the converter would probably cost you more than a new converter.

Thanks for the tip.

The cartridge is marked [ IND. Brasileira ] that is why I would want to repair it.

You have an unusual converter worth keeping. Disassembly is a bit tricky, as it is not intended to be done.

However, as a member described, it is a fairly straight-forward sac replacement, if yoiu don't break it during disassembly..

For functional purposes, a new. plunger converter is inexpensive.

I would keep that converter for collector reasons/show. You can fix it or not, but you might also damage it trying to fix it. There is an old rule that I remember, "if in doubt, don't attempt to fix it, you could break it even more."

I would switch to a standard screw converter for daily use.
