Really lovely rich brown. Has a lot of depth to it. Writes really smooth. Great shading. Color really does look like chocolate. (Unfortunately, does not taste quite like chocolate. You've been warned.)

 

Color bleeds in water, but has some trace remaining after the wet finger wipe. It leans more to the reddish end of brown, which you can definitely see in the water test. Dry time can be a little longer than some, particularly on slick or coated papers.

 

Not a permanent brown, but the color and texture of this ink are a pleasure to write with. On my favorite browns list.
