Kinda Casual 're-View' Of Possibly Everyone's Most Hated Pen: Zebra V-301

Well? is the Zebra V-301 the worst pen, ever?

I don't know...I kind of liked it when it first came out, and being a fan of inexpensivecoughcoughcheap pens, I was compelled to try it.

It wouldn't start until multiple dips. Later I read that this may have had something to do with its odd feed, more like that of a felt pen.

I don't have my original purchase any more. But there's been a lof of forum chatter about these lately. So naturally I bought a couple of them again.

Well....maybe not the WORST pen, but will not make my Favorites list.

I think Jetpens or Walgreen's sells them. The pen itself looks like this:

Much better pics than I can manage!

I don't have a 'ratings' system. Granted my reviews are very subjective. At the price, if you're willing to dip and dip until it starts, this may be worth a try as a Pen You Can Lose, No Regrets.

The rest is here.

Don't tell anyone, but it's growing on me.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I have two. The first one's tipping broke off after a short time, though I suspect it was due to the nib catching on the inner cap; a definite design flaw, there. The second pen has worked faithfully for the past year and more. It feels cheap, looks cheap, and writes a nice, smooth medium line. It also starts without hesitation after a week's neglect in hot, dry weather.

Thank you for pointing out that cap design flaw, sir...I think I almost accidentally 'Waverly-ized' my V-pen last time I capped it. -_-
