New Montlanc Inks (Part 2)

FWIW, nothing especially new, but rather a confirmation that

[A] MB's Lavender Purple will soon again be available. Its release date is as yet unknown, but its availability will certainly follow later than that of the three "other" new MB inks.

Those three other new (bottled) inks are today already available -- at least as an order of any boutique from the supplier, and they have the the Ident. Nos. 107755 for PERMANENT BLUE, 107756 for PERMANENT BLACK, and 109294 for the new MIDNIGHT BLUE.

The main reason why I'm posting this today is that when you happen to phone your local store, and want the new Midnight Blue, make sure that they indeed have the new one and not (only) the oldie but goodie (Ident. No. 105194).

The new Lavender Purple will be available later. It is, today, unknown when. This ink, completely in contrast to the above-mentioned three, will by no means be a "new" ink, but rather a slight improvement -- basically in regard to flow issues -- and thus likely (but not assuredly) retain the same Ident. No.

Whew!

Thanks for keeping us informed, old chap. I shall raise a Spire in your honour, later this evening.

Is there any possibility of seeing a review of the New Midnight Blue? I would really like to compare with the old one.

Here we go:

22 Euro for the known 60ml-glass, usually we pay 13 Euro for the other inks of Montblanc. Black Permanent is not available at the moment, same for the new MB MB.

looks pretty nice. but double the price?? starting to rethink getting the midnight blue

All of the physical stores over here sell the old Montblanc inks for between AU$30 and AU$35 which works out to around 20 to 24 Euro. Now I accept that I have to pay freight as I live so far away, but I wonder at the price jump?

Of course I could just start using ESSRI.

And here is the new Montblanc "Permanent Black" in some pictures. In the little piece of paper the new "Midnight Blue" is not longer listed as "Permanent" or "contains iron gall"

Pricing is similar to the new "Permanent Blue": 22,00 Euro for the 60ml-glass.

I recently went on an ink purchasing spree and purchased about 30 bottles of ink. Pen Boutique has the old Montblanc Midnight Blue in stock with free shipping CONUS. Can't beat that. I just purchased 4 bottles. Midnight Blue and Diamond Blue are currently my two favorite MB inks.

No affiliation.....just a very happy customer.

Just an FYI, but I emailed and dealt with Joy who was extremely quick to answer my emails and invoice.

Further note, FPNROCKS in the coupon code gives you another 5% off.

Wheeler's have the new Midnight Blue and the Permanent Blue (plus the black) so have ordered those two this morning. I'll post impressions as soon as.

I just received 2 bottles of the "old" formula from them. Shipping was $4.95, though.

I picked up 3 bottles of the "old" Midnight Blue to add to my one remaining bottle...should be good for quite a while!
