Thomas Mann's Fountain Pen In 1939

Recommended Posts

This is not a very helpful picture (1939) of Thomas Mann using a fountain pen but maybe some of you can help me narrow down the possibilities ... or know more about Mann's fountain pen(s)?

To me it looks like a rather big pen, flat top, 30s Sheaffer "8" or Duofold Senior . . . Montblanc model 30?

Thanks!

Thomas Mann mostly used a Montblanc fountain pen.

You can write to the Thomas Mann archive (link), they have many of his fountain pens in exhibition.

Greetings,

Michael

Write, write, write. Use your pens not your fingers !!!
