It's Been Working Like I Planned

Almost 5 months ago I "designed" and had this pen case tailor-made for me:

Here's the story: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/245327-tailor-made-pen-case/

Earlier today the cartridge went empty - in the small side pocket, a spare was available for replacement. :bunny01:

Best!

That is nice. A shoe repairer was an excellent choice. I wouldn't have thought of it. The workmanship is neat and tidy and it looks like they used good quality leather. Is the spare-cartridge pocket made from a thinner piece of leather?

What stops the cartridges and the pens from falling out?

Will you array this in a bag or a pocket? I ask as if it is stored in a bag there is a risk that something could damage the pen as it looks exposed.

Hi! I'm so sorry for not answering before. The thing is I lost track of this thread.

Thanks for the kind comment. :)

Yes, the quality of the leather is pretty good and the pocket is made from a thinner piece. Hawk-Eye! B)

What prevent them from falling out is that they enter their pockets with a little pressure, but I would not hold it upside down. ;)

You are right - it sits a bit exposed, but I do not carry it with things that can harm the pen. Anyway, maybe I should have a bigger (longer) one made.

A couple years ago, our local cobbler made a portfolio (slim briefcase without a handle) for me. Anyone who can repair shoes can make custom leather goods, and they are usually quite reasonable.

Great looking case. Simple and functional.
