I broke out the Parker 51 Kullock orange pen today for writing in my journal.

Opaque orange or translucent? I love the Kullock colors. They are bright and cheery.

I've got two 51's in my pocket today. First is a Cedar Blue w/ multi lined Gold Filled cap with Blue Diamond clip and a fine nib from 1945 . It's filled with Aurora Blue ink. Next is a 51 from 1946, a Burgundy with a Gold Filled 4 lines/space/4 lines . It also is a Blue Diamond with a factory ground Stub nib !! It is filled with Waterman's Havana Brown ink. They both are Vac Fillers.

Today has been a minimalistic day. So the only pen I've been using has been (of any brand) had been my trusty 51 Plum Demi. Currently it's sporting vintage Quink Microfilm Black (which, honestly, looks more like a blue black -- but it's still a very nice ink).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Dark blue P45 M with Tsuki-yo, which replaced Twilight, and a Vector M with Grapefruit.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Today I'm using two Parker 51 pens, both with medium nibs. The Burgundy is filled with Quink black and the Plum is filled with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black.

Today must be Parker day for me. I have both my P-51 Kullock pens (the orange pictured above, and my newer dark gray one with the volcano cap jewel), and then a newly acquired striped Duofold. There's also a Conway Stewart 55 stuffed in my pocket, but who's counting? ;)

A dove gray Parker 51 with a 12 k gold filled Cap. 1947 vacumatic. Smooth Fine nib. Excellent work-horse. Made in USA filled with MB Royal Blue Ink. I think it is a mule made of different Parker 51s but who cares. I continue to love these Parkers. Waiting for my UK Parker slimfold and jumbo Duofold to arrive from London in mail.
