Parker Urban, black square-pattern gunmetal, with Iroshizuku Take-Sumi.

I know more people in this forum prefer the vintage offerings--both for performance and for looks. I bought this Urban on an extreme whim years ago at heavy discount, and never used it till now. And you know what--it's a darn good pen and despite the 'contemporary' style, mighty handsome too.

With kind regards,
-Matthew

I agree, I have two urban one sapphire and one premium in black, and I was surprised to see how well it performed and how smooth it was when I inked the sapphire one for the first time.

My rebuilt, feed and hood, '51' Aerometric, with a broad 14ct nib, which is extremely smooth on paper with any ink I've tried.

This bad boy. Seeing I sold all of the black Aero's I had at the Chicago Pen Show this past Friday.

This will have to be my new daily user at work until I find some more black P51's.

After more than a year, my black Parker 51 special finally got a hard start on the first stroke of a capital T with my Parker Quink black. Reckon it's time for a bath. Sorta disappointed. I really thought I'd get to 2020 like this for some reason. Or at least through the whole bottle. Or maybe I'm overreacting so I get an opportunity to tinker.

My favourite 51 today (well...today's favourite), the 1947 cedar blue vac with the big bold imprint and gorgeous blue diamond clip lustraloy cap.

A 1946 gold cap black 51 vac. It is unrestored and I seldom use it fearing the diaphragm may fail any time without any warning. Another Parker inked today is a beautiful C/C 61 insignia with a broad english nib.

Using this Sonnet 'Subtle Big Red', with Cross ink.

The nib writes, unusually, slightly 'finer' than medium, with a good balance in the hand.

Parker 100 in Opal silver. It took a lot of work to get this pen to write dependably (cleanings, different inks), but now that it works, it is a great pen.

'90 late duofold blue marble centennial. I think this pen is the one of the best modern fountain pen, and One of my favorite as well.
