I love the English aero Duofolds. These generally have generous tipping on the nibs and are super soft and even flexy writers. I have been collecting them for a while in all sizes. Slimfolds (#5 nibs), juniors, Victories (#10 nibs), Demis (#15 nibs), Standards (#25 nibs) and Seniors (#35 nibs). I have all in almost all colors except the monster one.

Have yet to come across a Maxima (#50 nib).

I used a Parker 45 with a B nib today. It works very well with Diamine Damson, which is growing on me.

I like Slimfolds, too. Yesterday, I wrote a letter with one. But I do have one that has something of a flexy nib, like Mitto says.

I don't know why I keep so many Parkers inked at a time? Perhaps I am Parker crazy.

Today's lot. Lol.

The lowly Parker 45 looks good in any company. It always surprises me how smart the 45 is.

I don't subscribe to the idea of P45 being a lowly creature especially when it is in the flighter attire and with a 14k M/B/R/Y/S or other unusual nib.

Have yet to come across a Maxima (#50 nib).

Last week, I've been one click away from buying a gorgeous blue Maxima. It was relatively cheap - £120 (most recent offers are in the £140-150 ballpark). Ordered a broad-nibbed P51 instead.

Hasn't this one gone relatively cheap?

I chanced upon a lucky find: a striped Duofold Junior pen and pencil set (c. 1940-45?) in a gift box. I am not sure, but I think Parker called this color style "Dusty Red." True?

The nib is not a real flex, but it does have some give that allows for a bit of line variation.

It is black beauties turn today. The gold cap one is USA made with fine nib while the the one with lustaloy cap is Englande made with broad nib. Graceful. Aren't they?
