Welcome to the slippery slope Frank.

You're in trouble now.

Especially if you have a taste for Parkers. ;-)

Enjoy.

Thanks, Ian - yeah, I'm already good an' screwed!

I'm a week in & already have the 45, a NOS Super 17 twinset, uninked Duofold Junior, & a pristine mint & uninked English 61 MK II Custom.

On top of that, I'm waiting on four other 61s (I've developed quite a liking to these), a 61 twin set which, although it looks near mint, is logo'd & engraved so may come in handy as a daily user or as spares and a NOS 45 De Luxe set.

I have poor impulse control... ;)

Regards,

Frank

Lovely, indeed. I like that flat nib, with its clean, modern design. It's the same nib as the 75s, isn't it? Do any other Parkers have that nib style?

Yes, james. The Parker VP has a nib that is somewhat the same style.

I'm using a '32 Parker Vacumatic debutante Golden Pearl that I just finished up. This one took a little work, but I got it. I'm very happy that I go fishing at Richard Lott's parts table at pens shows.

An aerometric "51" in ‘Navy Grey’, with a brushed ‘Lustralloy’ cap.

It was made in England in 1954, and has a ‘Fine’ nib.

The ink in it is Rohrer & Klingner "Salix" iron-gall blue-black.

Riding the aerometric navy gray "51" train, though mine's a Special, probably post 1960. The medium nib is a slightly slow starter, but then leaves a lovely line of 54th Massachusetts on the page. It's my last pen. No, really!

Today (so far):

1938 Vacumatic Junior, Red Shadow Wave, F-ish nib, with Waterman Mysterious Blue.

[mid-1980s] Vector, stainless steel, F nib, with R&K Documentus Dunkelblau.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I used a P51 Aerometric Midnight Blue pencil today. It just came in, and needs a new cap jewel. But as with all my P51s, both pen and pencil variety, I'm lovin' it. ^_^

75 with Needlepoint nib and Pelikan Royal Blue ink.

Welcome home, Peter.

I am using 61 needlepoint with the same Pelikan (brilliant) blue.

I was using Penman Ebony but found it tended to dry our rather quickly.
