What Parker Are You Using This Day?

Amidst other brands. Those are just the Parkers! Haha.

I have 42 pens total inked right now, and 9 that were recently emptied and in need of a good cleaning.

42? Yikes! I thought things were getting unwieldy when I got above a dozen or so....

Right at the moment I think I have 9 or 10 with me, but there are a few at home that I didn't bring. That doesn't include the brush pens which are set up as highlighters (some of which do need to be flushed out), a couple of dead Varsities, and 3 Preppies set up as rollerballs.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

The dead Varsities are easily brought back to life as eyedropper pens (well, basically they were always eyedropper pens). The nib and feed pull right out.

Pull 'em out, fill with ink, push 'em back in. They make a nice sort of little click when you push them in, too.

I've got a dove gray 51 blue diamond inked with 'Alt Goldgrün' and a gold pearl Vacumatic with 'Lie de The'. I could be content with just these two for a good long time.

Parker "51" Aero-metric in Midnight Blue with Parker Sapphire ink.

Baptiste knew how to make a short job long

For love of it. And yet not waste time either.

I've decided to give the Vacumatic another try. I have a newly revived Vacumatic Golden Pearl with me, and I'm finding I really like this one.

2015 Apple Watch and 1949 Parker 51. They work well together!

I'm currently flushing and cleaning up my Parker Vector and Parker Classic fountainpens. After I found that they both don't really write that well anymore due to build-up of ink. Although the Vector doesn't suffer as much from that as the Classic does. Vector gets Parker Royal Blue with Solv-X, Classic gets Sailor Jentl blue ink.

So I'd say I'm using my Parker Classic Steel GT BP and MP for the day :)

I used this to sign the payment for my car repair this morning.http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f239/Jotteraddict62/001_zpss0q3qu1y.jpg?1449252248677&1449252250526&1449252258657

This pen is working well since placing the nib, feed & section [ from my parts bin ] on this shell of a pen I picked up on ebay a while back.

This is a new pen for me, my second Parker, the first one is a Vector I bought new in 1988, this once is now my edc and my preferred pen. I just got it yesterday and I'm absolutely thrilled to have it! I think it was made after 1974, it has dished tassies.

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Actually after 1981, when the Parker 75 manufacturing moved from the USA to France.

Congrats for the pen!

Ah! Thank you! I've been reading your chart, you really should ask the moderators to make it a sticky post. It's been very helpful! I did go check out the parker75 web site and with a perusal of the information there I was able to pinpoint the date of manufacture to the 4th quarter of 1986!

Yes. Since it is a French production 75 ciselé it is post 1981.

A Striped Duofold! Found it neglected and dirty, but it cleaned up so nicely! It's my first Parker and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite pens. I find the size to be perfect, and it's a beauty!

I used a Parker Slimfold (UK), which is rather new to me. You may think it odd, but a Parker Slimfold was sort of a grail pen for me. I am really enjoying it--it has a flexy nib.
