What Parker Are You Using This Day?

1945 Vacumatic Major in Azure Blue filled with Lamy Blue. My wife bought this pencil/pen set for me for our first anniversary last year. I showed her the listing one day on the classifieds here, and she secretly created an account and bought the set! I remember coming home one afternoon and remarking how disappointed I was that the blue vac set had been sold! Little did I know what was on the way...

I must say, in a world with smart phones this thread is quite photo-anemic!

Nice set you got there DavyJones. I didn't think I'd want a Vac at all until I saw an Azure Blue Pearl that someone brought to a pen club meeting awhile back -- then it was "Lust at First Sight" (blue is my favorite color, so a Blue Vac was just well, you know... ). And now I have two Vacs -- an Azure Blue Debutante (DCSS find) and a Silver Pearl Major (Ebay win).

For me, today, it's yet another Vector. I have too many pens in rotation at the moment including four of the five Vectors, so for the moment the Vacs -- and the Plum 51, which just got flushed a couple of days ago -- will have to be patient.... This particular Vector has Organics Studio Emily Dickinson in it. So it's LaFS :puddle: all over again....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I had a grey P51 Special set out with me today. I let the car dealer

fill out the paperwork for the use car I bought. She wants one now.

I'll have to keep the set to remind me what I signed for [ 2004 Dodge Stratus ]

Today it is my teal blue Parker 45 pen and pencil I purchased on ebay which arrived today. The pen has a smooth fine nib and is filled with Parker Quink black. It is a great looking set.
