This is a odd one, It is a Eversharp / Parker, Big-E

As fare as I understand it, Parker bought Eversharp, and used it cleverly. Among other things it allowed Parker to experiment with marketing strategies, like disposable ink cartridges, removable nibs, and other features.

It is clear the "Big-E" shared common DNA with the Parker 45. both in looks and functionality.

So today, I'm using the Big-E, and of course with Quink ink as i don't want to void the warranty

Not me, but Lewis Hamilton tweeted this pic showing him signing his new three year gazillion dollar Formula 1 Mercedes contract with a Duofold, I think.

Wow. Now *there* is a vintage name which really takes me back to some classic writing products.

"Epson"

It sure looks like a Parker Duofold Centennial.

But what is really cool is the customized ink,

The Mercedes engneers got it right first try, so they named it, "Formula One" and only comes in silver.

Although the ingredients are a highly guarded secret, this glycerin rich extra fast ink combines both traction agents for those "S" turns and lubricants for a dramatic swoosh finish.

The converter was replaced a FIA complainant Kevlar reenforced ink bladder for safety reasons.

Good luck Lewis.

So far it's been a couple of Vectors -- one filled with KWZI IG Mandarin, and one filled with KWZI IG Green #3. Until I ran out of ink with them.... The one with the IG Green #3 is being flushed even as we speak. Trying to decide whether to flush or refill the other Vector; I really like IG Mandarin a whole lot. But I do have a lot of other inks to try. And it's probably a little better in the long run if I flush more often with IG inks -- or at refill with distilled water.

I have too many pens in rotation at the moment. I want to empty and flush some before inking up too many more, because that gets too unwieldy otherwise.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I looked online, all I could find to order was Formula Vee. It skips if I try to write too fast...

One test is worth a thousand expert opinions.

P51 cordovan brown Vac with gold filled cap to write the check for the septic service call.

I told the driver here is the payment and held up the pen. He said the boss would not like that. :D

Parker 51 in Buckskin Beige, loaded with Diamine Kensington Blue. What a great color of ink this is.

A silver pearl Canadian Vacumatic with a rather juicy medium soft nib. Filled with Pelikan 4001 blue black.

Parker 51 Desk Pen. The only pen that I use every day of the year. Why? Because it's there!
