What Parker Are You Using This Day?

1946-8 Parker Duofold New Style (UK) the first English Duofold, a button-filler, with a lovely fine Sheaffer #3 nib. Diamine Chocolate brown ink, An absolute joy to write with! Maybe one day a Newhaven Parker nib will present itself, but for now this is a very happy mixed marriage.

What does a late middle-aged divorced male do at 7:00 am on a Sunday? He puts together the pens he prepared the night before. I'm using my newly gained orange Parker Duofold Jr. After a clean-up, a new sac, and a mild tune-up of the nib, I'm pretty happy with it. I'll have pics later, with any luck, and a working memory.

A burgundy Parker 45 Arrow with Parker Washable Blue Quink... the ink isn't great (all I had at short notice) but I'd forgotten how much I like this pen!

Parker 75, Ingenuity, Premier, Sonnet, Urban | Pelikan M400 | TWSBI Diamond 580 | Visconti Rembrandt

Currently inked: Diamine Apple Glory (Rembrandt), Pelikan 4001 Turquoise (M400), Lamy Black (Diamond 580)

I've only got one Parker at the moment -- a medium point, stainless steel with gold trim Parker Sonnet fountain pen. So when I use a Parker, that's the one. :) I am thinking about getting a Parker IM though, since it seems to get fairly good reviews and isn't expensive.

I've put the Duofold Jr away (old Bakelite and daily use have some risks).

Today, I've inked up an old friend, a black Parker 51 vac, and the g/f cap has a fresh blue diamond now. My second time restoring the diamond on a pen, and it went pretty well.
