What Parker Are You Using This Day?

Parker 75...is there really any other pen.

Which P75?

Agreed on the BP need part.

My work BP, this 180 Flighter is slicker than chocolate frosted batcrap.

This pic is of the 1st Kamakazi dive to the floor. Just like a nib, an Itoya gel refill gets one dive to the floor, then toast.

Bruce - I hope that refill was almost empty BEFORE the thing hit the floor...

Today I am using a Striped Duofold. I wish I could show off the flex to its full extent, but I'm used to writing with a fine...

Ocala Guy, back in about 19 and 71. When jack and his brother jerry Briscoe won the WWFTag team championship. They used that very pen to sign auto graphs for the governors children upon leaving , they were savagely and viciously beat and the pen was taken from them. On terry briscoes death bed he forgave the goon for beating him and there and then he declared that the barer of the pen would be the true owner.

You DO have to tell me how the Briscoes came to get Dorey's pen.

I think the Briscoes beat Dorey and Terry for that belt.

Central Florida Wraslin' with Gordon Solie on Saturday afternoon TV was The Thing back then, I was in my early teens in Ho-lando.

The Florida Wraslin' "association" being sold to the current Vince McMahon's Dad was one of the first steps to the WWF(E) existing.

My grandfather also took up tickets at the Atlanta Auditorium back in the 60's and I got to spend a lot of time at the live

wraslin' matches in Atlanta too.

(He was also a Baker for Rhodes Bakery in Atlanta and took up tickets at Ponce Field and Atlanta Stadium. Two very righteous jobs

for a grandfather to have let me tell you.) [EDIT] Of course I got in for free and could sit anywhere I wanted that wasn't already sold. Granddad would give me a handful of Employee half off coupons for munchies and drinks and a couple bucks and I was in heaven. Starting the 5th inning he would come find me and sit with me for the rest of the game.

A Parker Duofold that was my late father's favorite pen. Just got it back from the restoration shop. It writes like a dream. Currently using Waterman Intense Black Ink but will change soon to iroshizuki ina-ho. I have some note cards to write.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow, what a ride!

:puddle: Amazing! Congrats on your True Blue, and may you enjoy it for many, many years!

Thanks! I think this will be $31 well spent.

Today's Parker is my Dad's Parker 51 -- here's a photo of it from 2014:

51 Demi aero in cocoa with either a medium or broad nib depending on the ink. :P

Which today is Iroshizuku Kosumosu because I am longing for spring. *sigh*

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

Ohhhh, la la. Very nice.

It is English. Duofold (slimfold). A NOS. Brand new. Love it. See the lovely tiny gold nib. It is a toy. Isn't it?

I am actually in reverse. Just flushed one of my two 51s and tossed it in the drawer. :(

Not having a great deal of luck this year. On the plus side - a Kullock 45 and an MT Swan 100. On the minus side an Esterbrook J Blue with 9314-M nib has gone astray in the postal system so I am out of pocket by $65 with no recourse, and a very nice Waterman 52 being sold by another member is just out of reach (by a mere $20, another 4 days and I would have had the cash :( ) and will go to someone else (bit gutted by that, but I cannot expect them to hold it for me and I didn't dare ask).

Such is life...

I feel your pain.

My last sale was a $77 Blue Streaker Estie J with a 9314 M in it. It went across the U.S. and I was doing sphincter twitches until it arrived in good shape.

Well, at least it worked out well for you. It seems I am not destined to ever own a decent Estie, or indeed anything else of note in the vintage world. :(

My recently acquired Parker Duofold True Blue is going to be my daily pen for a while. I think I'm in need of an ink refill already.
