What Parker Are You Using This Day?

A humble Vacumatic (1941-ish) in "Emerald Pearl". The drawing, however, uses "Stormy Persimmon" (3 to 1 ratio of Fuyu-gaki and Stormy Gray) instead of green for the pen. And trust me, the golden sparkles are clearly visible on the vellum, although not so much on the scan.

Parker 25 flighter with M nib and Noodler's Old Manhattan black ink.

Yeah, there's always a 25 in my coat pocket or pants pocket.

Doing some writing with a grey 51 vac today.

Today's Parker is the Parker Challenger, 14k Med. nib with Noodler's Bad Black Moccasin.

Got in a "parts pen" that I intended to spread out to different pens I'm building. Alas, the parts didn't work together, and I just happened to have the two parts, a pellet pocket and a diaphragm, I needed to complete the "junker." So now I have a Parker 51 Demi Vacumatic in Dove Grey with 1/10 14k gold-filled cap and a wet fine nib. It came with a pencil as well, the barrel for which has a nasty looking crack, but it still works--and it had several spare leads inside! They both have the name "Buzzy Tom" inscribed on the barrels, and it makes me smile.

A few years ago I bid on a Sheaffer Snorkie set that had Dorey Funk Jr. personalized on them.

Dorey Funk is an old school wrestler who has a wrestling school near here.

I didn't swing a very big bat. I wish today, I'd have swung harder.

It is a pair of English P51 mk1 (aero) and a P21 super. Both grey and loaded with pelikan 4001 blue and Dollar green respectively. It is a grey day today. Tomorrow it will be a pair of greens.

I bought a double jewel Golden pearl Vac (1940) from Mr. Minuskin a couple weeks ago with perhaps the ugliest (but, fortunately smaller than usual) script personalization's I have seen. But it had his standard 0.6mm stub nib and it really writes like a dream for me, so that's what has been slipping across the paper for me recently.

Parker 25 in the breast pocket, sonnet, 51 and vector in the bag.

Ditto, but trade the vector for a 45 flighter ballpoint. Much as I hate to admit it, there are times when a ballpoint makes more sense to use than a fountain pen. I like the 45 ballpoint compared to a Jotter because of the grippy grooves in the barrel.

Agreed on the BP need part.

My work BP, this 180 Flighter is slicker than chocolate frosted batcrap.

This pic is of the 1st Kamakazi dive to the floor. Just like a nib, an Itoya gel refill gets one dive to the floor, then toast.

Ocala Guy, back in about 19 and 71. When jack and his brother jerry Briscoe won the WWFTag team championship. They used that very pen to sign auto graphs for the governors children upon leaving , they were savagely and viciously beat and the pen was taken from them. On terry briscoes death bed he forgave the goon for beating him and there and then he declared that the barer of the pen would be the true owner.
