What Parker Are You Using This Day?

OK, today I'm using my Parker Sonnet (there, you happy?), Parker 180, Parker 75, all with Paradise Pen black ink.

Then, guess what arrived today... my Pilot Metropolitan. Yay. I'm using the cartridge that came with the pen.

Tringle - Sweet!

Matlock -I was on the lookout for an XF nib for my 75, but needlepoint sounds even better!

William - Pilot, whatsit now? Huh? Gonna have to change your avatar...

Today I am using a 45 Flighter GT. Have a 51 in my shirt pocket just for looks (its too wet for the cheap paper I use at work...).

I think I had the last needlepoint nib from The Writing Desk but you could give them a try, they usualy carry a good stock of 75 nibs.

The needlepoint makes some Japanese nibs look broad.

I'm using my Parker Sonnet (wow, you couldn't have guessed that), and my new Pilot Metropolitan (really not a Parker).

Inks? Well Paradise black and maybe Noodler's blue.

Found an old Parker VP. Extra fine nib. Cleaned and fiddled around with the nib and am so happy it is writing beautifully now!

1951 Parker French made Vacumatic Maxima with three bands cap and fine flexible nib

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Welcome! Nice pens. Someday I will get a modern Duofold...

Today I inked a 1945 black 51. I bought it a while back and put in a new diaphragm. Writes great, fine nib. Oddly enough, first time using bottled Quink (I'm normally a Private Reserve fellow). The blue/black ink seems okay so far.

Oh, also using 50 flighter today in honor of the T1s I didn't get at an auction over the weekend...

Apparently, there is such a thing as a Parker 95. I only knew that for about five minutes before I in fact owned one. :)

Now that I am being allowed to run amok alone at my new job, the pace has slowed enough for me to be able to use a FP some of the time.

So I have my 180 Flighter BP/Itoya gel refill paired up with my Turquoise P-45 with a 14k Fine nib. This fine nib seems a bit more elongated that my other P-45 nibs which is pretty cool. At $18 shipped for it, I can live if something happens to it at work but it also still a nice enough pen to proudly carry. The Fine is working nicely in the iddybiddy writing spaces in some ledgers I have to fill out.

A lot of the company pens are clompshed by guests so they use the most horrid stick pens I think I've ever used. (Ha! They even take the caps off and toss them thinking an uncapped pen is less likely to be clompshed.)

As is usually the case where I work, even at a glance, you can tell which item has my handwriting on it, ;) either from my writing or ink or both.

I'm using American Blue in the 45 but it's still running darker from the metric tankerloads of PR DCSSB that's already been in the pen.

Using my own Real, nice pens at work certainly is a bright spot in the day.
