My Parker Sonnet.

Everyday drill. My Parker Sonnet is inked up with Paradise Pen Ink (which works fine) and its gold plated fine nib is gliding down the paper.

I purchased a great looking NOS forest green Parker 45 with a 14K nib and brushed stainless cap ca. 1967. I inked t it up last night and am seriously dissapointed to find that the nib is just a bit too flexible for me, at least i thnk that is the problem. I'm a lefty overwriter and thus have trouble getting much ink out of it with my push strokes. Works grerat for pull strokes. Frustrating, I want to love this pen.

My Parker of choice today has been a CT Flighter with gold nib, inked with Diamine Graphite.

I see stains of Paradise Pen ink on my paper.

But today is special because I used Parker 75 EF, instead of my Parker Sonnet (which I normally use).

My 1960s Big Red, which a considerate hacker added a Cross section and nib to make into a perfect XF fountain pen. I know they made these to get the prestige of the old Duofold attached to the hot new ballpoint/flair market transition, but I never forgave them for skipping the fountain pen option.

Duofold Centennial

about a 2% recollection of buying it over the past 20 years

this is the special edition where the button on top of the cap falls off and i get to glue it back on a few times a year

So I've heard, and judging by all the wonderful-writing Parkers I currently own, I'm sure the 51 will be no different. Possibly better, as the hooded nib keeps the ink wetter longer. (Not that I let mine dry out anyway, but it's a nice feature.) i'd love to have an Aerometric in Navy Grey.

As for what I'm using today, my Vacumatic is going to be in my hand all day. I'm quite infatuated with it, and its extra, extra fine semi flex nib.

Don't let the hype get to you, from a writing standpoint the Vac you have is at least the equal of a 51. Different vibes though, something classy about pulling out a 51 at a meeting or carrying it in your shirt pocket. And they are more durable, and you can fly with an aero, and - Oh heck, go get a 51!

Ooh, I forgot that this was possible. I've got a flea market Big Red ballpoint lying around here somewhere...

Today I am using a 1937 Parkette (black, talk about a stereotypical fountain pen...) and a 45 Flighter.

was going to carry my 51, but ran out of ziploc bag. i'll try to carry it in ziploc bag for few day to see if keeping it in my pocket will cause any leak.
