Just got a hold of a NIB Big Red from the 1970s that had been converted with a Cross EF nib. Finally, after passing on it when new, the way it should have been made to began with.

Noodler's Dark Matter.

I've been using my Parker Rialto in Matte Green, medium nib, today, with Diamine Salamander. I'm really loving the combination! The ink has some really nice shading when put down with this nib.

Just came back from Canada.

I guess I didn't have a chance to use my fountain pen, but I'm using my Parker Sonnet.

I finished the restoration of my 1937 black Parker Challenger yesterday, and I finished my 1947 Azure Pearl Parker Vacumatic today!!! So I've been using both in making sure the ink is flowing as it should. I'm so friggin' excited!!

WOW!! I'm salivating over here! Mentally salivating, anyway, haha. That is one gorgeous pen! And it's furthering my desire for my first Parker 51.

... it's furthering my desire for my first Parker 51.

P51s are great pens, whether one has a flighter like Eduardo, older Vac or aerometric, demi or standard size, cool cap or plain cap, original or Kullock customized. No matter what, these pens are almost invariably great writers; there's a reason they were one of the best selling pens of all time.

So I've heard, and judging by all the wonderful-writing Parkers I currently own, I'm sure the 51 will be no different. Possibly better, as the hooded nib keeps the ink wetter longer. (Not that I let mine dry out anyway, but it's a nice feature.) i'd love to have an Aerometric in Navy Grey.

As for what I'm using today, my Vacumatic is going to be in my hand all day. I'm quite infatuated with it, and its extra, extra fine semi flex nib.
