A 50 flighter and a 45 flighter. I must be into metal today...

A butt ugly, antique store Parker 45 I found a couple of years ago for $5. It was in a cigar box behind the counter among a collection of broken mechanical pencils and advertising wood pencils. The only fountain pen in the store.

The good news - it is aerometric converter or cartridge fill and has the most delicious stub nib. Very nice writer.

The barrel looks like it has been chewed on for years - dings and chips in the plastic. The cap is badly scratched. But the pen writes a buttery soft nice line.

I just used a Parker Sonnet.

I am using my Parker 75, inked up with my Paradise Pen ink (it writes well :-) ).

Yeah, sometimes worn pens are the most comfortable. You don't have to worry about putting the first scratch in a pristine pen and they write well because the nib has been worn in. One of my favorite daily users is a vac with bite marks in the blind cap. I am almost tempted to try a gnaw myself.

Today I am using a 1937 parkette. Superfine nib, but smooth. Second pen of the day is a 50 flighter.

A sweet little broad 75 loaded with Antietam. The gold nib was bent in a roll off but I was able to bring it back reasonably straight. Just flows the best.

Parker Sonnet is the pen!

As usual, it's inked up with Paradise Pen black.

Ran through the day with a Vacumatic Junior that I received in the mail yesterday. Very happy with it.

Parker IM in Gunmetal with a Meium nib. It's the only Parker I own and I filled it today with Pelikan Edelstein Topaz. Although I'm a small person, I find the girth of the pen a little too small for my liking, but it's a nice looking pen.
