Today it's a Parker 75 Barleycorn silverplated, purchased brand-new in 1991. Though I normally prefer the weight of the lacquered ones

and my Ciselé, I do love this beautiful thing. Also it writes fantastic and fairly wet with it's M-nib and Quink blue-black. Pure pleasure!

I'm re-inking my Vector Batman pen, but it's not having it.

It must still be hung over from last night. :)

Looking forward to getting my Sonnet back from France so I don't feel a little embarrassed that my Parker collection being so modest.

Never be embarrassed to own three dependable pens regardless of their perceived monetary value (or lack thereof). Having owned plenty of expensive pens that are dry in a day or two, I cherish the trustworthy workhorses that I can lean on at a moment's notice.

Today, I wrote checks in public with my 4Q 1948 51 black Aero. The poor uneducated public never know the majesty that quietly performed flawlessly and undramatically right before their eyes.

French made Vacumatic Laplume

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?" Patrick Henry

Black lacquer Sonnet with 18 ct fine nib, with Waterman black ink. Also carrying the matching 0.5 mm pencil. Sometimes it feels a bit dressy for work, but they write so well it is hard to leave this set at home.

I'm fairly new to the hobby, but I went shopping with my girlfriend last night and found a Parker IM, and I was so taken that I caved and bought it. So I brought that with me to class today and then I bought a converter and some Parker Quink Blue/Black because I'm weak. Love the pen though!

I bought that P51- the .T.6 model from Greg Minuskin with the 1.0mm stub nib. Black with a brushed steel cap and polished cap ring. This pen looks just like new and some how it seems, whenever I stop to look in my hand, there it is. Currently filled w/Diamine Bilberry, this pen and ink combo makes a dramatic statement on the paper. I think it may be a while longer befor I 'get over' this one.
