1949 "51" Forest Green from England with a sweet Medium nib, filled with Quink Blue Black. And just about empty, a nice little EF nibbed 1950 "51", also in Forest Green from USA. It has Edelstein Smoky Quartz in it... one of my letter writing friends blessed me with a page written with a similar combination and it had a wonderful vintage look to it.

Inked my Mandarin Duofold Centennial today with Iroshizuku Tsutsuji and was inspired to post on the forum for the first time in eons. One of my favorite pens...

1948 Parker 51 forest green (US made) with the Broadest nib I have ever seen on a USA made 51 and a English made 1950 P51 BBB with the brodest stub nib I have ever seen on an English 51. Both are truly monster nibs. Enjoying using them and consuming the pages of my notebook(s) with the speed of a bullet train. :)

A very ordinary Parker 51 in Burgundy, not sure of the date but after 1957. Bought as in need of attention but now restored and working very nicely with a broad and wet nib.

Easy to forget how good these pens are.

It is fun to buy 51 in need of attention and restoraring them. Is it the American burgundy or the BBB?

The English pen, I had an american vac 51 in Fine in use last week, the english aero broad this week, good wet flow and so smooth. I was hesistant to use it because it had not been used, although the cap and barrel were scruffy.

English made Parker 45 Insignia with 14k Z nib and USA made Parker 45 Insignia With 14k D nib. Love writing with these so-called Parker student pens.
