What brilliant color combos! i bet you really enjoy using those Vectors.

People sneer at them for being school pens, but I find that they're little workhorses. I was really sad when the barrel on my first one cracked at the threads a year or two back -- and then discovered that cobalt blue was an uncommon color.... I got a translucent rollerball for a buck to harvest the barrel in the meantime, but I really wish I could find another one in the right color. It was my first "good" pen (after a couple of Parker Reflexes where the rubberized grip disintegrated on me), and I've always had a soft spot for Vectors ever since the blue one sat in my brother-in-law's house for a month, then in the bottom of my husband's car in 20°F Massachusetts weather for a week -- and then the day after my husband got home I pulled it out and it started right up....

I may have as many Vectors as Parker 51s.... And more than Vacumatics. Because they're great little tester pens, and are especially good for iron gall inks in particular. I even have one that's a 4 nib unit calligraphy set (although I've only used the IF nib on it).

A grey VS with gold filled cap and gold washed clutch ring. The pen has a juicy Vacumatic Major nib in it. The pen has very crisp marking on the barrel with 7. as the datecode.

Midnight blue 51 Demi Special, medium alloy nib, Waterman black. To my surprise the nib has gotten wetter and all-round more voluptuous after only a short period of use. (By me.)

Probably just clogged up ink that gets watered down....

Or bits and stuff that's starting to come out....

or the pen just feels like to?

A forest green aero 51 that I picked up lately. When I disassembled the pen I found out the sac nipple had softened just like the sac. I prepared another sac nipple and attached it to the connector and resacked it. The silver breather tube had also disintegerated. The pen came with a lustraloy cap and long gold filled clip.

After complete restoration the pen is now inked with Waterman serenity blue.

Hi, Trying out Waterman 'Blue-Black' ( Encre Bleu-Noir) in this 2016 Vector, seems to suit it well.

A Rolled Siver capped English Parker 51 fountain and ballpont pen (yes ballpoint pen and not MP :)) set that I picked up among seven other 51s on the eve of 70th Independece Anniversary of my homeland on August 14.

Well, since it's after midnight here, technically yesterday I used:

Parker Vector, Green, F nib -- Robert Oster Purple Soul

Parker Vector, Multicolor, F nib -- Robert Oster Blue Water Ice

Parker 51 Midnight Blue, M(?) nib -- Lamy Pacific Blue.

[Why yesterday? Because I've just spent an a hour and a half fighting first with the Verizon/FIOS website to get a contact phone #, then being on the phone with their tech support having them remotely reboot my box and router -- to no avail -- then sending a message to Music Channel complaining about *their* tech support (and lack thereof), and can they please remove the automatic widget option when people change channels, because it's annoying and useless (not to mention a complete lack of response -- or action -- because something they list as one song is actually TWO and they're clearly idiots...).]

Silver Lustre Sonnet from Q3 2007 with excellent monotone 18k M nib and none of the allegedly common Sonnet problems; it's smooth & moist without being too wet, and no starting or skipping problems... a joy to use.

A few days ago I bought a lot of parker 51 parts - barrels, hoods, connectors, filler shrouds, collectors, feeds and caps (some with jewels but broken clips and others complete) for Rs 4000 ($38 approx). No nibs, however. I was able to assemble/complete 5 pens using the parts and others from my parts' box.

I am now using two of the so completed 51s. A teal blue and a Bloody Brit Burgundy. Both are smooth and extra wet writers. The way I like my 51s. The nibs on both the pens are English made. :)

I just inked the Duofold Junior I recently bought at the San Francisco pen show. It's a nice little pen for a person with small hands. I like that it's short without being slim.

My other Parkers--two Parker 51s and a Victory--are wet writers, but this is the wettest! I must be careful about paper.

Honey White & GT Parker 100. A lovely pen, and a great writer.

I'd have more of them, but the availability has gone down and the prices way up!

I guess other people like them too!

Glenn.
