What Parker Are You Using This Day?

Today it was a couple of Parker Vectors (both with F nibs). The yellow (Aztec yellow color) one is filled with Noodler's Park Red in it and the pink one is currently sporting Blackstone Barrister Blue.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Parker Sonnet lacquer gray with gold trim - with the checkered pattern. Fine nib.

Writes beautifully, but I rarely use it because I prefer fatter pens, plus this one used to run out of ink often (evaporation through the cap, and I've kind of fixed that by dribbling a few drops of candle wax onto the cap end on the inside). It's a handsome pen, I must say.

A 1947 51 vacumatic, with my second most versatile English F nib. Blue skies, blue diamond, cedar blue and royal blue. Ahhh, summer :)

Sounds fantastic. B)

By 'Aero Filler' do you mean aerometric like the 51 aero or just a C/C pen with squeeze converter? Perhaps aerometric filler 45s were produced in South America - Beazil or Argentina.

My apologies mitto, and thanks for pointing this out. It's just the squeezy converter.

I do like the squeezy converters though. Maybe not as 'clean' as a cartridge or the plastic converters, but more in keeping with an 'older' pen.

I have one which is leaking, and would like to repair it. Have you had a go at this?

Yes, I rotinely resac the squeeze converters. Clean the converter, use a little dry heat on the sacguars near the black button and remove it. Rest you know. I always use clear silicone sacs in converters. Use shalac to secure the sac. However, I dont use shalac on the sac protector. The crimps in the metal tube always do that job.

Brilliant. Thank you very much for the tips.
