What Is Your Favourite Dark Teal Ink?

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Two of my favorite inks. Paradoxically, Air Corps Blue-Black is more green than blue, but both of these inks could be construed as dark teal.

Here they are, next to the aforementioned PR Ebony Blue which also looks great in the swab.

No, it isn't - even less available than Noodler's, which is really saying something!!

Bummer.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I love really dark Teal inks, as dark as Blue-Black, but with a Teal tinge rather than blue. I have a Sailor Limited Edition ink from some years ago that is now discontinued and I am looking for other inks to replace it. Any suggestions would be very welcome, and, if they are readily available in the UK, that would be even better.

The Sailor ink is Yama Dori.

Thank you for your help.

Hey there I thought I was the only one. Ive always liked the contrast of blue black inks and never really been a fan of the lighter blues. I also have been on the hunt for the perfect blue greenish black ink. Would love it if someone could chime in here.

ive been looking at a few:

Noodlers ink - Air corp, blue black, and Squetegeu

Private reserve - Blue seude, ebony blue

So I thought I'd post a few writing samples of a couple inks in the darker teal range. The pic with all the text on it is Private Reserve Ebony Blue. The next two pics are of a 2:1 mix of Noodler's Navy:Noodler's Turquoise (not the Turquoise Eel nor the Navajo Turquoise...just straight Noodler's Turquoise). I've only just mixed it and I think it's growing on me. I include two pics of the mix because in certain lighting it can look more blue than it really is, so the pic with the DC Supershow Blue is to compare how it looks against what I think is a fairly true blue. If you look back and forth between the two, you notice the green in the mix. BTW, both samples are on crappy copy paper.

I took these pictures with my phone and the colors look a slightly lighter and washed-out on my monitor (but they look more accurate on my phone, so maybe it's just my computer). Not sure how it'll look on yours. For what it's worth, the color swatch of PR EB on Goulet's website is fairly accurate, except it's a little more green in real life.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions and help! You are much more organised and efficient then I am. I will check out several if your suggestions. I like the look of Ku-Jahn: I have not seen it before. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to do this.

By the way, what are the Fade Olympics?

So glad you asked:
