I'm trying to identify this pen and can't seem to find any with the same type of cap. 1/10 14k Gold Filled Made in U.S.A. is printed on the cap. Can anyone tell me if these go together? Any information you can give me about this pen will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. post-106328-0-63497900-1377594990.gifpost-106328-0-11100000-1377594946.gifpost-106328-0-00673200-1377594964.gifpost-106328-0-32718500-1377595008.gifpost-106328-0-91664000-1377594923.gifpost-106328-0-53757800-1377595022.gifpost-106328-0-08839600-1377595039.gifpost-106328-0-02642300-1377594910.gif

Hello, the pen you have is Parker Duofold desk pen the only correct cap for it would be a desk stand. The one which photos you have posted comes probably from Sheaffer fountain pen however I am not sure for 100%.

Not at all. That cap is from some kind of Sheaffer Tuckaway model, guessing Crest, but which model exactly doesn't matter to your Parker Duofold. You need a desk base to use it as a desk pen, or you need a blind cap and cap to make it portable.

Thanks for your help. Looks like a Sheaffer Tuckaway cap. Not sure how that got there. Can you date and/or offer more details about this pen (nib, ect.).

The nib and the section shape suggest a date of around 1926. It's a Mandarin Duofold, which enhances its desirability but also its fragility. Even if you find a matching cap (for which you will be in competition with a horde of collectors, including me), it will be expensive, and will likely have cracks around the cap lip. Easier and cheaper to find a Parker desk base from the 1920s.
