An Unusual Diamond Point

i generally don't go for small pens, but this one came up on ebay early this morning with a very reasonable BIN price, and it was too cute and too clean to pass up:

it's no longer that small when the cap screws on to the barrel!

I think I've seen at least one of these--not sure if it was at

fivestarpens.com or not. Still,it looks like a winner.

 

A day later,it dawned on me that the owner of fivestarpens

was selling (at one time) one of these on fleabay.

Very nice. I've restored several Diamond Points and they very attractive a reasonably well built pens. Congrats on a nice score!

Neat pen! I have not seen a Diamond Point with this design! Love the material of the pen, Diamond point made some pens with the same rod stock as some much more expensive pens!

Great find! It looks like this pen would predate the Japanese fashion for short-long "pocket pens" by decades. I wonder if this is where Pilot came up with the idea.
