Like a dummy, I read the first page of this thread and ordered two journals. That was late last night.

Today I checked the tracking. The package is in the hands of USPS an on its way. So far, so good.

I'll let you know how things develop.

I love these journals, have ordered them, several at a time, for years without a single problem, and paid with paypal.

+1. And on at least one occasion Jay emailed me to ask if I were interested in a special offer...

So my experience has been entirely positive.

Glad to hear that whatever the problem was, it seems to be temporary. I really do love these journals.

Placed my order in the evening of the 23rd. They were in the mail on the 24th, and arrived here on the 26th.

They are really a joy to write in. So glad I ordered from Jay Potter at Paper for Fountain Pens.

Thank you for your post regarding a successful transaction; it is always good to hear when the expected, actually occurs. We all experience same, but seldom take the time to acknowledge & often only "sound the alert," when the unexpected happens. Enjoy your paper & I hope all customers will appreciate this report & realise same, with orders.

Jay came through. I received email last night from him that Post Office returned to sender. A digit was missing from address. He will resend.

Strange behavior with Paypal. When I check out, it defaults to my address for shipping, but I can hit "change" and it would let me choose from all the addresses I have sent things to in the past, or enter a new recipient. That's how I selected her as recipient, and it was listed as "verified address."

I tried another order, just to see if the address Paypal had was wrong, and I had not noted it. Or, was it an error in transcription?

However, Paypal no longer shows all my recipients' addresses to chose from, but now only gives me option to "edit" the "send to" address.

computers=weird

I will post here when I get feedback from DD about her notebooks.

Cheers,

Paypal informed me today. that she wil get it tomorrow, and offers text updates to her cell.

What makes the

New Year's Journal different, (anybody please)?

Number of pages - 374 v 320 in the "Standard" version

Jay increased the number of pages so people who were using them as journals could use them for a year and have "a page to a day".

Darling daughter picked up order. She says this is her favorite journal, likes it better than Seven Seas.

Does Jay do this a serious business venture, or asn avocation, a service to the FPN community?

I will surely order again from him soon.

Cheers...

Hmm, now I know why I had rhe impression that Jay was doing this as a labor of love.

from post#1 on this thread:

"This paper has inspired me to write more than I ever did before, and I've had to create the product line that I wanted for my own use. Now I'm sharing the results with you.

Happy writing!

I keep wanting to reorder, because I love these journals so much, and have to keep reminding myself that I took a book binding course specifically to be able to make my own journals when Jay was out of stock and I was in dire need. I now have a few lying around waiting for use, so seriously, I shouldn't buy any from Jay.

But man, I've been using his journals for years and LOVE them.

Ordered 2 imperfect cream B5 journals for my world travelling daughter, who loves these above all others including her Namiani with the custom leather cover.

Cheers,

The larger size appeals greatly. Could someone tell me how often they're restocked? Apparently I just missed the imperfect sale; perhaps this means more are coming, either perfect or otherwise?

Would be willing to trade. Have many uncommon inks, a few older Seven Seas, etc.
