Wonderful pen! Looks like something to save up for, one question though, can naming by maki-e be done on this pen?

I would totally get one of these if Nakaya made it a little bigger. I handled it at the LA pen show and found it a little small for my taste. Thanks for the review!

Nakaya make bespoke pens, so I suspect you could get any of their designs made in Titanium. If I recall correctly there's a longer Picolo variant, which is exclusive to an Asian retailer. The Naka-ai, which is exclusive to Classic Fountain Pens in the US, is also looks a bit like a longer Picolo but with a thinner barrel (which would probably help keep the weight down).

Oh wow...i'm just so undecided on the Nakayas, which one to take..initially it was kuro tamenuri, then I loved the midori, now I want this...yours was the only review online i could find with decent pics, thanks !

I think I found my new grail. That one fits my aesthetic sense perfectly.

Wow !!, and many thanks for sharing this review. Titanium nib is one thing but complete Titanium body is something else. Many congratulations on this acquisition..
