Is anyone posting the cap on their heritage pen?

According to the nice people at the mb boutique it is not supposed to be posted.

Is anyone posting the cap on their heritage pen?

I tried it once and it was not a comfortable fit.

I have not posted mine but I don't post any of my pens.

This thread has had an interesting evolution; looking at it from when it first started until now.

If anyone gets an EF nib, I would be interested in hearing how that one writes. I am also considering a second Heritage.

Glad you like it too.

Silly??? I'm just sorry I didn't think of it first. ;)

FPH has it for about $150 less than the boutiques. I believe their price is $950

I wonder if anyone has seen /tried / bought the LE version (limitation of 333)? I think it's selling fr 10k euros (inc VAT)

Not that I can afford one, but how much difference has it got comparing the LE one with the resin one?

Best regards, Kai

I've seen and handled the LE pen. It is heavier than the resin, but not excessively heavy. As I remember it's the same size, same size nib, but the nib is 18k. The titanium body and cap have a somewhat brushed matte finish. The star is a floating mother-of-pearl star. It comes with 2 clips and a clip-less ring, and the cap top screws off to allow changing the clip.

Are these available at all boutiques now?

Will be in Vegas the first 4 days in October and would love to take a look at one.

Hi Kai,

The MB Boutique in Sydney had one. I agree with Darius' comments in terms of weight and feel.

I really like the structured and engineered feel/look of titanium pens and have many of them, but It's a hell of a lot of money to pay for a pen. Maybe in a few years on the secondary market.................

Hi Con, how much is the Sydney boutique asking for this pen?

Best regards, Kai

Hey Kai,

IIRC I think it was $13K AUD.

Let me know if you're interested- I know the Boutique Manager very well

Cheers

No thanks. I haven't got that kind of spare change...I'm more interested in the disparity between overseas vs Aussie prices and in this case, it's approx 8k euro ex tax (approx A$11.6k) vs buying here at A$11.8k ex tax. I'm really surprised that there isn't much difference...

Best regards, Kai

Very true.

I wonder why we get screwed on prices like we do?

I just took delivery of mine. I have to say it is a stunning piece. I rather like the heft of the pen for some reason I am more thrilled with the nib retraction on this one than on my Boheme. Nice box as well.
