That's fine, and it works out quite well since I've seen many 149 pens, so I'm familiar with the size although it's not a comfortable size for me to use. Looking forward!

With the nib extended, it doesn't seem so different in length. It's such an interesting pen!

What a wonderful pen! Picked up for myself on Thursday from the Frankfurt boutique with a "fine" nib. Pens were announced for October but already delivered during the last week. Nice, elegant and understated pen which is a little heavier than expected. Love the pearl white star under the clear dome which combines design of the full white dome of very early pens with the white "star" of later models.

Retail in Germany is 860€.

Which it came with different clips just like the titanium limited edition.

Thanks for sharing your great photographs.

Cheers from Germany

Quite a reasonable price especially if you are able to get a VAT refund.

The pen I write with, is the pen I use to sign my name.

Thanks for the compliments.

Also congrats with your purchase. Even a better price in Germany. Maybe due to the VAT % difference.

Do you mean that you also received the different clips? If so than that's interesting. I thought it was only for the titanium. I only got the straight model and it seems like it is quite tight fixed on the cap.

Would really like to hear from you soon.

Nice pictures fellow Dutchman!

I'm still torn about this one... It's a cool pen with an awesome filling system but somehow I'm not attracted to the nib on it's own...

The more I look at this thread, the more I want this pen. I can afford it but, the question is should I save my money to fill holes in my collection or splurge for this one? I guess I'm gonna have to go to my local boutique to see it in person.

Meant to say "wish" it came with different clips like the LE ;-) ..so no, just got the regular, fixed clip.

Cheers

Thank you for the clarification.

Would be a good option to make extra money for MB. If it could be bought separate.

That's a beautiful pen. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Is there a place/website that sell this pen online?

Super cool pen. congratulations. Is the nib more flexible than the normal pens?

I have written with this pen for a few days now.

The feeling is still getting better and better.

The nib gives a lot of feedback and I can say it is a soft type of nib compared to my modern 149.

That one is just stiff, but I can see the heritage will flex a bit when writing.

Just did some experimenting with a infrared camera (saw that trick in a previous topic of a fellow FPN-member, but can't recall the name at the moment)

The interesting thing is that although stated it is made of resin, the body isn't a see through as I would expect.

I also made some comparison with a 149 so you can see how a resin body would look like.

Maybe the outside of the barrel is made of resin, but underneath is a whole metal body.

You're really going the extra mile to show us all about this pen :D

Would've been interesting to see the internals on this pen indeed!

I personally think the body is metal to provide a safe and sturdy mechanism to retract the nib and accommodate the filling system to create a more 'maintainable' pen.
