Last pen of the year for me, an export model 400 with an OBB nib. I'll post a pic of it when it arrives.

Two Pelikan 400'5 , the new one is the green , with a flexy oblique Medium nib.

The tortoise was my first - less flexy oblique medium. It also needs a clean - what is good to clean the insides of the barrel?

I have not recieved it yet to take my own pics but this is from the website that I purchased it from (sorry for the watermarks)...very clean looking Pelikan 130 Ibis that I think I got for a great deal with an EF nib. Very excited but it'll be several weeks I imagine to get to the States from Spain.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

I came across this beautiful pen yesterday in a pen shop that was on sale, I just couldn't resist buying it...

Paper: MUJI Pen: Pelikan M400 White Tortoise (F nib) Ink: Rohrer & Klingner - Alt Goldgrün

Nice ink, M400 honey white is my FIRST pelikan fountain pen, got flipped, I prefer to post the pen. I am currently using my M600 honey white, which has a nib offers more spring( in my opinion) and vintage 400NN (simply terrific).

Here is my newest addition, an early Export 400 with an OBB CN nib. I'm not sure if the CN nib is correct for the pen as I haven't really ever seen one before on a 400, but considering the cheap price I got the pen for I am not going to complain. Also, my new Binder XXXF nib on my 400NN Tortoise.

Looks like a beauty, sargetalon. I hope you enjoy it! I found one on eBay a couple of years ago, had the nib tweaked by Yukio Nagahara, and it has become one of my favorite pens, though it is smaller and lighter than most of my others. I really love the unpretentious simplicity of the design.

I'll be curious to hear how long it takes for the Ibis to fly from Spain to the States. I've ordered many a vintage pen from Germany, and find that they almost always take exactly 9 days to reach me on the here on the left coast.

There are a host of beautiful pens on this thread. My first Pelikan, a new black m400, doesn't match up. However, since its arrival late last week I have been working with it diligently and I think we are becoming friends.

An M800 Brown Tortoise with M nib is on its way to me. I'm wondering whether I should have gotten a B or even BB nib instead so I can have it ground to a broad cursive italic. Maybe the M will have enough tipping material after all? Would I enjoy a finer italic? I don't know. And it looks like another Brown Tortoise on auction from the same seller is about to go for much cheaper than what I got mine for. Ouch.

"And it looks like another Brown Tortoise on auction from the same seller is about to go for much cheaper than what I got mine for. Ouch." You'll avoid untold amounts of agony if you observe this simple rule: Once you've made your purchase, never look back. (easier said than done, I know)

Congrats, that is a fabulous pen, I got one with an M nib and then speced up for the IB, That is a humongous nib and just loads of fun. Hope your giant tortoise gives you as much pleasure as mine does me.

Oops...then I think it would be a pelikan 400nn engraved with its previous owner Dr. Ingebrog Sepp. Have any idea about than name?
