Very cool.

Many thanks!

Looks quite sexy to me.

Thanks; I've already changed inks to Pelikan Edelstein IoY Amethyst - nice green sheen :)

Here is a new one for me that I've had my eye on for a few years. An M800 Green Demo Collectors Edition for the North American market circa 1992. #2114/3000

Gorgeous, Joshua! Not what I expected, mind: every time I see your name in this particular thread, I am hoping that it means that you've found one of those "missing" 200s...! :)

BEAUTIFUL!!

Question.....is the #2114 actually imprinted on the pen somewhere??? Or is it just a "notation" on the box/paperwork??

I'm assuming this is "one of 3000"......??!

Always try to get the dibs.....on fountain pens with EF nibs!!

The pen is not engraved. A certificate was printed up by the distributor and included with the pen.

I ordered my first Pelikan this week from Appelboom: a M805 Stresemann. Now the wait...

I love mine! Gorgeous pen. It's my first Pelikan. It most certainly will not be my last. I'm trying to track down a tortoise 400. I barely lost an ebay auction for one.

I, too, started with a modest one or two; but am now up to eleven (including my not-getting-any-use Ibis) -- and need to pay off the balance on a twelfth! Oy, vey...

@Raif (last poster, trying to track down a tortoise 400): isn't there one in our own classifieds, right now, I think?

Anyone interested in a hard-rubber Ibis? It is a bit small for me, I find, and so it never gets used -- and it has a wonderfully flexible nib. (But needs re-corking) It will be going up in the classifieds soon.

I picked this one up about a week ago, and like it very much. In fact, its inked with Diamine Green/Black right now. I love that ink in my green birds.

...and the blue M805 is my most recent. I got this one with the italic broad nib (which is awesome), but I decided to do a bit of nib swapping with my other M805 anthracite. I find that the two tone nib adds some needed color and contrast to the otherwise muted grey and black, while the blue M805 looks better with all silver accents/nib.

Pelikan M1000 green-black stripes, with a Bold nib that has been ground... It is a Pendleton Brown BLS nib now.

I bought that from Classifieds here.

The main reason I bought is the nib: I have the pen inked now, but I will do a nib swap and move this BLS nib into my new Pelikan Raden Starlight (see earlier in this thread, around 23rd of November) to replace the rather pedestrian M nib. I still haven't decided what I want to do with the M1000 green-black stripes which will then have an M nib. I told myself that I would sell it, but who knows.

Just to check before I do anything irreparably stupid, the Raden Starlight nib unit, does that screw out like modern Pelikan nib units do? (I have experience with a 205 demonstrator, and with 800 green-black, and 805 black.)

It's a bit green for my tastes. I'm looking for one that's more brown.

My first post in a Pelikan forum :)

Here's the 805 Demonstrator engraved version with an Italic Broad nib, J Herbin Rose Cyclamen ink and Hobonichi Techo...

I have gotten a few new pelikans recently.

I picked up a blue M805 medium and a Green M1000 fine.

I was also recently given a 2 pelikans as a gift from a family member. A black m200 fine, pen is about 20 years old and had never been inked. Also a blue m605 fine that came in a box set with a blue desk stand that holds it.

All 4 write amazing. As expected the M1000 was really wet and wrote like a broad until Mike Masuyama worked his magic and now it is my favorite of the bunch, That said I now have 4 pelikans and have a hard time deciding which pens to use.

Today I received a Hundred Year Pen by Water... -- oh, wait a minute: no one here wants to hear about this, do they?! :D :D

Well, it does have a gorgeous flexy nib, just like most of my Pelikans.

Very soon, mind, there will be a lovely new Pelikan addition to that particular species in my custody...watch this space...
