Got the M101N Red Tortoise coming in from the Netherlands soon!!

Dennis advised they only have the Medium nib in stock....he's working on securing a Fine for me....

it's a BEAUTIFUL pen!! This will be my second "Bird"....I LOVE the M200 Cafe Creme EF (paired with 4001 Brilliant Black ink)!!

 

Always try to get the dibs....on fountain pens with EF nibs!!

The modern M101N's don't post as well as vintage 10XN's. Seems to have something to do the with the ring that is in between the barrel/binde and the filler knob.

They don't post deep... But they post very well and securely

They start posting better with use. Could be that the cap stretches a bit with use.

I have a red 101n in the mail. That Raden Starlight is beautiful, but quite a bit out of my price range. I dp have a Sailor, cannot remember the exact model. Mine has an Ivory cap top and barrel end.

The Sailor I mentioned earlier that reminded me of the Pelikan Raden Starlight. Mine appears much darker than the one in this picture.​

Congratulations! That is a stunning pen, and way out of my league .

 

I just inherited my wife's M400 old style Tortoise Brown. She bought it two months ago, but never liked the M nib and the fact that "it doesn't have much bling", since there are rumors of a new M400 brown tortoise coming next year she decided to give this one to me. So, not new to the house but new for me, and I'm not complaining .
