Just received my M205 Amethyst. It is indeed an understated, but very appealing dusky/dark purple. However, when you hold it up to the light, it is much lighter and noticeably pinkish. I'm sure this sort of thing isn't unusual at all, but the difference seems particularly dramatic with this pen.

This M805 just arrived today. Another EF nib for me. :) This really is a good looking pen in person--very muted colors.

I loaded it up with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black, but it just seemed a bit boring. I swapped it out for some Diamine Denim and all is well.

Just got this today in an EF as well. How wet does yours write? I inked mine with Iro Kon Peki and wow what a gusher. Writes like a Japanese Medium. Going to try Pelikan 4001 tomorrow.

Yes, its certainly not a dry pen by any stretch of the imagination. I have another M800 EF, and I'd say they write about the same. 4001 inks should definitely tame the pen, at least they do for me. After much use I have definitely gotten used to the nibs, and now freely use dry or wet inks depending on my mood. For a crisp line, though, I will always default to the 4001 line.

Recieved a NOS pelikan M650 recently. The 18c B nib is very stubbish which i really like. I don't have the heart to ink up the pen, so the nib currently sits in my daily driver modern M605. Notice the green ink window on the M650 is a lot more vibrant than the modern M605!

I got a black P1 (a doubél) and a blue 605 with a great B stub nib at the Dallas Pen Show and came home to a 120 in the mailbox. I may have a Pelikan Problem.

One of three unexpected finds at the Dallas Pen Show was a NOS M620 Grand Place with a fine nib. I saw several Grand Place roller balls at the DC show, and there were a couple in Dallas as well, but this was the first FP I've found. Bought it instantly from Joel Hamilton of Inkpen. Thanks, Joel!

Late in the day Saturday at the Dallas show a M800 tortoise and a 800 Blue-o-blue ball point to match my M800 Blue-o-blue showed up at my table. A little swapping and trading later they were both mine!

I haven't posted here in a while. Had a lucky eBay find one morning last week from Japan. I don't believe the seller appreciated what he had up for sale. I snagged a Pelikan M600 Blue Demonstrator for Sony, one of 3500 pens made for Sony Malaysia in 2001. No box or papers but that doesn't really bother me much. Very excited. Paid less than what you can get a new M200 for.

Yea.... I have just taken delivery of one of these as well, but it has a medium nib - I love the Pelikan medium nib. :)

That is a really nice looking demo! I love the look of its nib compared to today's design.
