Just received this uncommon bottle of ink from Japan earlier this week. :)

Reminds me of the MB shoe horn bottle?

IB nib that J. Mottishaw ground to an amazing cursive italic - from one of my other m800s. This pen comes with a stock rhodium plated nib.

That explains a lot. Like Canibanoglu I was thinking that was an awfully expressive stock nib. But from the hand of Mr Motishaw, I am not suprised.

Did you have the nib ground smaller as well (to say 1.3) or just sharpened up? Or both? I have a Pelikan IB nib that is 1.5, and have thought of having it ground to 1.3. Do you plan on using yours as a daily writer? I find the 1.5 stock nib really hard to use for either a daily writer (too broad) or calligraphy (too smooth and stub-like rather than sharp).

My latest,

A litle 100 with an HR captop bearing the new logo, celluloid section and body, HR mechanics and cork piston.

One of those from the late 30s, transitioning from HR to all celluloid pens.

It took a thorough cleanning, a fresh cork and a "new" 14k D nib, repacing the horrid aftermarket steel one it came with.

It is a litle pen, but I could not avoid including it in my rotation during the last month ;)

Regards,

In last month: Jinhao X750, Pilot Custom Heritage 92 and Parker 45 Flighter.

Best nib of these is on Pilot Custom. The one that surprised me most is X750, it is all steel version and the nib is okay, after a bit of work on it now very good. In past I had issues on Chinese pens with ink drying out after half a page of writing but no such issues on this Jinhao. And I paid $6 for it, shipping included... The cap and barrel are very well made although the clip is a bit stiff. Section is a bit flimsy and the nib is solid. Overall finish is as good as on $100 italian pens. How they manage to make it so cheap just baffles me.

I am using Parker 45 as my EDC, I was surprised how flexible the 14K nib is.

Pilor 92 is just great, well balanced piston filler. Well made and worth $100 although some UK sellers want $230 for it which is a ripoff.

Inked: Sailor King Pro Gear, Sailor Nagasawa Proske, Sailor 1911 Standard, Parker Sonnet Chiselled Carbon, Parker 51, Pilot Custom Heritage 92, Platinum Preppy

Well, i'm not into Inkbottles exept how practical they are.....

but i stubled about his one, and the lable condition was good enough

that i wanted to have it for decoration.

A 30's pelikan for 125ml......already cleaned the smear out, but i fiddle with the thought

to fill it with a blue or black purely for decoration

(edit: heck, how do i rotate the image?)

I turned my screen left 90 degrees. Neat bottle. That'll keep a flock satisfied for a bit.

FPH limited edition Bayou M201 with broad nib is my latest addition to the flock. I decided to keep this untouched (after a test drive) as a gift to my wife, but I am having hard time keeping the promise to myself. Feeling very weak and just want to start using it for myself...

Technically the 2 M800s aren't new but having their nibs ground certainly makes them feel new! :Dfpn_1438008618__img_1515.jpg

An M200 Café Crème, EF nib, arrived today from Germany. It's currently filled with Noodler's Brown, which goes pretty well with the pen's color scheme.

Very pleasant writer at first take.
