What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock?

It was time to cash in my paypal rewards points. I thought to myself "I already have two nice Pelikans, it's time to diversify, and get one of those Pilot, Platinum, or Sailor pens you've been looking at." As you can see the allure of the Pelikan was just too strong.

I think I got an amazing deal on this M205 - $71 new in box. It has a medium nib, though it writes a little thinner and drier than my M200 with a fine nib. Maybe some break in is necessary, or maybe that's just the personality this nib will have, either way I'm very happy with my third Pelikan.

And here's a photo of my humble little flock:

I just received this Pelikan m805 demonstrator with technical engravings. The nib was swapped for a Broad as part of a my order through Appelboom Pens (no affiliation- just impressed with their handling of this order) Here are a few quick cell-phone photos of the transparent body and my first messy writing test. I also included a photo of the pen with a Lamy 2000 and Pilot Vanishing Point for size. The pen looks weightless as the body catches every glimmer of light. This transparent quality it is difficult to capture on camera.

Just received in the mail, a M101N brown tortoise from Regina Martini last evening.

A truly beautiful pen, having a soft spot for the colour combinations. post-122748-0-96213400-1436506181_thumb.jpg

My very first M400 arrived today. It looks and feels a step up from the M20x pens I have. I was under the impression that it was exactly the same (size and weight) as the M20x models. They are the same size capped. I was really surprised to find that the M400 is slightly longer when posted, and it also feels a little heavier. I filled it with Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Bordeaux and it wrote well out of the box. I think this is my new favorite pen ... until the White Tortoise arrives. Sorry for the crappy phone photo.

Teva: lovely flock of Pelikans -- I agree! Especially your latest addition -- oooh, yes: I like!

Suji: I am so surprised and pleased to see the nice writing variation available from your modern nib -- I had no idea they could do it. Nice pen! (All mine are vintage models -- oh, no: except my own 101LE)

Today I receive the K800 Blue Demonstrator (unnumbered). This definitely complements its pair the M800 Blue Demonstrator (unnumbered too). Also its other siblings, the M800 & K800 Green Demonstrator.

They do, but need more force.
