I recently ordered a P200, that will probably arrive in a week or so. I realize that as a cartridge/converter fill, this model is probably less liked around here than models like the M200 with a more traditional (at least for Pelikan, as I understand it) piston fill, but I like C/C fountain pens.

I have one, it's a great pen even if it's a C/C.

And this morning also this, which looks a lot like the first one, but this nib has less flex than the other but still smooth.

I like these pens (100n i think), specially the design with the fluted clip.

They are a bit small for me, but still useable.

The 100's look great. I like the size and shape. Interesting that the cap bands are different.

Thanks for pics :)

Thanks, maybe some difference in age, i don´t know.

It would seem that both designs were available from the start of production in 1937. Someone may have more info on this.

Apart from the cap bands and clips are they similar, so maybe two versions of the same pen.

As far as I know they are similar. I have both and can see no difference. Best to look at www.rothemel.de for more info.

It is my understanding that the more pointed clip of the two the black 100Ns above indicates manufacture in Pelikan's factory in Danzig, Poland. Both styles of cap bands were available, and according to Rick Propas, the wide, ribbed band style is just slightly less common.

A prototype M400 --- unless someone can enlighten me on the color...

(I have looked hard and found no available info on the color)

I'm afraid I can't help, but I love that colour.

I'd call it a "Seaweed" green M400 ;)

Nice catch!

If you could post a pic side by side with a regular green one it would be great.

I think others will chime in and this will deserve a post of its own.

Looks more like a vintage 50's 400. The "400" on the cap band is indicative of a 400 not an M400.

I don't have the matching cap at the moment, so I used an older 400 cap for the time being.

Don't have any modern M400 in my stash, so the older 400 will make do.

OK. I am guessing that you just got the barrel then as there is a German ebayer who sells barrels that don't always appear to regular stock.
