Lovely grey 100N. The milled bands are nice.

I just received a 400nn green-green. It is less exciting than I thought it was going to be. Oh well.

Just got my first Pelikan to, er, mark my 20th birthday! Let's be real though, I would've found another justification either way.

New M400, green, F nib. Planned on starting vintage, but I found one for $180 from Japan.

I've really been enjoying it! I inked it up with Sailor Tokiwa-Matsu to start, and it's been delightful. No problems with the nib out of the box, and in fact it's exceeded my expectations in every way!

Hoping to find myself an old 140 next! Fingers crossed this doesn't become a dangerous addiction...

Internet, of course. There are no flea markets in Taipei, only night markets, and they don't have vintage fountain pens... -_-

This is my fun in the 400, to try and find all the nibs that were available at that time!

In the process, you always find something new--- like the S, SM, DOM nibs, never knew they existed until I saw them.

I'm sure this will be a unique collection when finished.

From pictures of the internet one could think that marking of the nib size on the filling knob is common, but The most Pelikan 400 that I did find in the wild do not have markings on the filling knob.

No idea why the ones have markings and others not...

My assumption is that they figure if the markings are on either the knob or the nib, it would be redundant to be mark the other.

I did manage to find a few "number" marked on the knob pens, "05" and "04" (OBB and OBBB respectively). But no markings on the nib.

Just added this little beauty, a M800 brown tortoise to my stable. I know a pen's looks contribute nothing to its function, but my oh my is this a stunning pen. I want to buy a better camera and take photography classes just to be able to capture its depth and glow!

I was either going to go with this or the Anthracite for my major purchase for 2015, and I decided to go with this. All I can say is, NO REGRETS! :D

I made the same decision myself, with the same conclusion (though I can foresee succumbing to the Stresemann once the pen enablers here start the high-pressure sales pitches).

I am not generally a fan of brown things but with the brown tortoise Pelikan has definitely landed a hit with me. I've got a brown striped M400 from the 80s that I totally adore.

Enjoy this beauty!

Haha, I am definitely worried about that! I may have to take a hiatus from pen forums so I don't get tempted by the Stresemann! :P

Thank you! I've a vintage 400 too, and I found the brown much more honey coloured and with hints of green compared to the M800. While I adore both colourings, the M800 just fits my hand better :)
