There's a new Naples Blue? The original NB is my go-to blue. I haven't bought a new bottle in 6 years as I stocked up then. It looks a lot deeper in color than the other's bright turquoise look.

Yep, they have definitely changed it. At a recent pen club meeting, I was able to compare a writing sample of the older version to this one and it conforms to exactly what you said about the older being a brighter turqouise.

I won a long-sought after M620 Athens yesterday. It has a BB nib that I will have ground to a broad cursive italic. I am impatiently awaiting shipment and delivery.

'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'

My M800 Tortoiseshell SE with BB nib; a beautiful extravagance, courtesy of another FPN member who decided it wasn't a pen they would use after all.

Congratulations!

I was eyeing the auction, but opted for another M620, which will also be ground to a CI of sorts. Most impatient.

My Athens is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I suspect it's sitting in my local post office right now.

Congratulations, whitedot! That's a pretty Grand Place. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

An update - the pink Pelikano came, I attempted a nib switch but my Pelikan Script pen is perhaps too old and has a different nib. I'll think about buying a Pelikan Script pen for the nib. I wish I could just buy the nib.

This will be my first Pelikan -- an M400 White Tortoiseshell with EF nib. Seems like it just arrived to the United States so it'll be in my hands pretty soon! Can't wait! :-)

My latest addition is a beautiful green striated Pelikan 400NN which I bought from Christof. Besides the wonderful condition of this pen it has a nib described as "marked with a B" but "writes rather M" that fits my smallish handwriting perfectly.

This is a picture from Christof's original ad, as my iPhone camera cannot do proper justice to this pen:

OK, perhaps late to the party but here it is, a really big deal for me:

My new Pelikan M800 Tortoise, complete with IB nib. This pen/nib combination has turned out to be much more satisfying than I ever hoped it might be.

Really enjoying my new bird.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Pelikan piston filler fountain pens. I have several of them and they have been the reason I became a fan of everything Pelikan. But I am also a collector and my funds are limited. Therefore I have started some years ago to hunt for Pelikan cartridge pens. These are often overlooked and there are some great deals to be had, if you are patient. And you have search a lot in Europe. I live in the USA and here many of these pens were never offered. My latest finds during this year were some beautiful pen of the New Classic series. These pen were made during the early 1990. They have full metal bodies and the top pens have 18kt gold nibs. The pens below are the P371, P390, and P395.

I understand that the M910 Toledo was sold with this lap desk as a set for American market.
