Arrived today!

The pen only has Günther Wagner Pelikan imprint at the end of the barrel. No '500' or anything. No nib size either. It has an interesting nib though.

The pencil even has a few leads in it!http://kepfeltoltes.hu/141003/P1220613_1_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.jpg

What kind of nib is this?http://kepfeltoltes.hu/141003/P1220607_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.jpg

My above 100N has similar grinding like Attika89's on its nib, and my piston knob is marked KF... Think this could be related to the Kugel aspect of the nib designation?

The KF would mean Kugelfeder (ball nib) but the picture of attika's nib looks like a 'Pfannenfeder' (Usually designated with PF) to me. I have no idea what this would be in English. Pan nib? As far as I know the 'pan' refers to the little bowl shape at the tip of the nib.

Lovely one RobertJRB ! Congrats !

I did found yesterday, in a famous penshop in Paris, a nice PELIKAN Golden Dynasty ... a silver toledo, gold plated, made in 1995 for the asian market. Only 888 pieces.

Very nice find!!!

I always loved the Kirin from that series but this black beauty maybe looks even better.

How is the weight compared to a standard M800? Never used a toledo but my human kind (also silver pen gold plated only with much less etching) is very heavy compared to all other pens including the Gaudi. This one as well?

These little lovelies courtesy of Christof:

A Blue Pelikano circa 1984

And a red one, circa 1993

They arrived so quickly that I didn't have time to go shopping for cartridges, but I dipped them and both seem to be good writers, the blue is a fine point, the red a medium.

Should be fun.

"Looks like a jet fighter on this delta shaped polystyrol"

Yes, my very expensive, custom made pen display gizmo, I'm in negotiations w/Montblanc for a production deal.

They both performed the dip test quite well, I think the red one is going to be a fantastic writer.

DrCodfish - I'm happy to see you ended up with a couple of those classic Pelikanos... Nice photos, too!

Me too. A vintage Pelikano has been on my list for some time, I've put them off because they are expensive for what they are, and too you can never be sure how good a used pen is, but when I saw them offered by Christof I felt confident that I'd be getting a pen just as advertised and these were. Like new and seemingly going to be excellent writers.

That 100N of yours looks to be a fabulous get by the way.

Thank you... My first vintage 100N. Came in better shape than anticipated... Hardly used by the lack of wear on the lettering and logo on the cap. And the nib! Need to finish off another of my Pels and will give it a good trial run in the near future.

Recent additions to the collection, a 450 mech pencil and an early 400 with a particularly nice nib that I'd been on the hunt for (noted on the piston knob)... An eBay treasure with a surprisingly reasonable price. Set was owned by a WWII German soldier who immigrated to the US after the war. He bought this set in the mid-50's when he returned to visit family, according to his son and 93-year-old wife. Period case for the pair was included.

Another new one for me: Taylorix 6-GP DM (aka unbranded Pelikan 100N made for Taylorix ). DM nib is a "Durchschreib" Medium very inflexible, stiff medium intended as a manifold-type nib for use with carbon copy paper. This pen is in gorgeous condition, though the nib is more of a nail than most modern steel JoWo nibs. Just getting a little tine misalignment back in check took more effort than I expected!

Berlin-Collectible is probably one ot the most expensive sellers on ebay for Pelikans.
